Step 5 of 5

Power On — You're Projecting

Congrats. Here's where to go next.

Point the projector at your spot, focus it, set your loop to repeat, and walk out to the street to see what your neighbors will see. That's it — you're projection mapping. Seriously, congrats. The hardest part (starting) is behind you.

Quick wins to dial it in

  • Nudge the placement so the image lines up with your surface.
  • Dim or block nearby lights that wash out the picture.
  • Put the projector on a timer so the show runs itself each night.

Where to go from here

This first spot is your foundation. Next come bigger surfaces, lining the image up to windows and rooflines (masking), multiple projectors, custom content, and synced music. You don't have to figure it out alone.
